Fishing, Crabbing & Hunting

True fishermen (and fisherwomen) in Palau know that the best fish are in the waters off Peleliu. From marlins, tuna and wahoo to groupers, snappers and bonitos, Peleliu's fish diversity is unmatched. Whether you fancy deep sea fishing and trolling or prefer casting, bottom fishing or even spearfishing off the reef, Peleliu has it all. On Peleliu, you can cast from shore or take off on a boat to do some overnight fishing. Fishing under the full moon is the best time to go and is an experience itself.

For a truly unique Palauan experience, join our guides on a crab or fruit bat hunt. Crab and the nocturnal fruit bat are abundant in Peleliu. Our guides can take you deep into the mangroves to catch “mud crabs” (mangrove crabs), stay on dry land to catch “land crabs” and coconut crabs or take you out to hunt fruit bat using BB or pellet guns at night.

And, of course, with any of your catch, whether fish, crab or fruit bat, we'll be happy to prepare it for your next meal.
