70th Anniversary of the Battle of Peleliu

Peleliu Adventures Tour Co. hosted a group of ten people from the US and Japan that were in Palau specifically for the 70th Anniversary of the Battle of Peleliu held on September 15, 2014. The government of the US as well as Japan and Palau along with the community of Peleliu came together to honor this special event and reflect on the epic battle that was fought on this tiny island in the middle of the Pacific during WWII. The event was honored by the presence of Mr. Bill Darling, a US Marine veteran of Peleliu and Mr. Kiyokazu Tsuchida, a Japanese Imperial Navy veteran of Peleliu. Both men in their 90s embraced in a small ceremony held in Peleliu. The Peleliu Adventures group were in Palau for a week and toured Peleliu, Angaur, Koror and Babledaob islands. The Adventures Inn

Opening December 1, 2014, the former Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic church has been remodeled, renovated and converted into the newest hotel on the island, The Adventures Inn.
