Lately, Peleliu Island and Palau in general have seen an increase in visitors with the sole purpose of bird watching. According to a recent study done by the Palau Conservation Society, the island of Peleliu contains the highest bird population in Palau. From endemic birds to migratory birds, this island is a must for true birdwatchers.
